Hi !

I have the following Problem :

I try to connect a printer to a UNIX workstation. They are connected via a
serial port. Baud rate does match. If I use the "lp" printing services
everything is fine. The Printer prints as I like to.
But if I try to use the same printer withe the "lpr" service the attempt to
print fails.

If I try to print the date with "date > /dev/tty007" somerthing strange
happens. The Printer LED signals by flashing that Data is transmitted. But
when the transmission is complete neither anything is printed nor the LED
signals that there is data in the printer memory. I even don't get an error!
Can somebody give me a hint what can cause this problem and how it could be
solved?

     Bye,
          Peter
