One very annoying thing about the Archive drives is that their SCSI connectors are
reversed from other connectors, ie pin one is on the left hand side instead of
the right hand side.  If your SCSI cable is not keyed, it is possible to plug it in
backwards, which can sometimes blow the fusable resistor.

Whenever I've set these drives up I've always had to custom build a SCSI
cable with weird twists in it to get the connectors to key properly.
