Hi;

I'm having some problems with trying to load NetBSD onto my 4/330 system.
Currently, the machine has 40 mb ram, 2 disk drives (1st drive, a 1 Gb,
has 4.1.4 running on it -- 2nd drive, 424 mb, is target for NetBSD), along
with network interface to my IPC running 2.5.1.

My first attempt was to try ftp'ing the *.tar.gz files from my IPC -- this
seemed to fail -> for some reason, I couldn't get the system to connect
over to my IPC (I know networking is ok; I can do it when running 4.1.4 on
the 4/330). I had specified a root login, with correct password and IP
address of my IPC, along with the directory structure where the files
were kept (in this case, /apps/netbsd).

2nd attempt was to create a tar tape by specifying all of the *.tar.gz
files on the 'tar cvf /dev/rst0' line while running 4.1.4 on the 4/330.
couldn't read these in for some reason...system didn't handle the gz image
right (maybe I'm not understanding how to create the tape).

3rd attempt was to create a tar tape by specifying all *.tar files, after
using gzip -d to expand them out. On this one, after the tape loading
went to a point, got an "out of disk space" on this one...even though
/ was assigned to a 100 mb disk partition and /usr had 240 mb assigned.

Can someone please tell me what I need to do to get a system up and running?

thanks,
bob
