The right way has to do with the creation of the DOS filesystem.
Use format.exe from DOS 6.x to create the filesystem where win95
will live, then it will work ok, though it is still a good idea
to not mount the msdosfs routinely, but instead to mount and dismount
it on demand and sort of single-task it as much as possible.

Either that or wait for the much anticipated vfatfs, which promises
to be the best thing since sliced bread, I'm told.
