   Hi,
How do I get xdm to run the mono server?

I have a Trident VGA8900B driver (soon to be upgraded to a card with an
ET4000 chip - when I get the money).

Is it just a matter of linking X to X386mono?

You can specify it in /usr/X386/lib/X11/xdm/Xservers:

:0 local /usr/X386/bin/X386mono

Rich

   Any help much appreciated.
