: Just fire up ccd, man ccd(4) and ccdconfig(8) for a start.
:
: I am running 2.1.5R and INN-1.4sec from the ports on a
: Dec Prioris server with 4 3GB Quantum FireBalls configured as
: ccd0e, mounted under /var/news. Works excellent!! fsck even
: works :-)

It scales well too. I have 10, 4 gigabyte barracudas on two adaptek
2940 controls configured as ccd0c. Yes, fsck works (with some changes to
limits :)) The original 5 drive array has been working for about 8 months
w/o a glitch and the 10 gig array has been running a month. I am running
FreeBSD 2.1.6 and INN 1.5 with several feeds in and out.

Someone really should package up a news server out of this
configuration ~ the service is so good it's quite forgeable.
