The older JetDirect cards required a firmware upgrade to do this (downloadable
from the HP web site) and some of these required a RAM upgrade to accept
the firmware.

If they download the HP Download manager and files from the HP web site and
run it, the download manager will tell them if their card needs or can be upgraded.
