It isn't clear if you mean that FBSD's standard ftpd isn't generating
proper ftp logs or if you mean that FTPWebLog 1.0.2 is failing to parse
the logs you do have. I would recommend using wu-ftp for for ftpd
regardless (FTPWebLog was written to parse the xferlog produced by
wu-ftpd), but if you check line 331 of FTPWebLog, it is pretty simple to
modify that line to parse about any format you happen to have.
