The SE has the original Motorola 68000 processor, and no room for coprocessor or memory management unit (as I understand). So you'd be hard pressed to even try to upgrade it. The SE/30 has the 68030 processor, and it has a math coprocessor (number eludes me? 68882? something like that), both of which are absolutely required for NetBSD/mac68k 1.2 . In short: there's just no way you're going to get NetBSD on and SE. And even if you did, I think you'd be limited to 4 MB of real RAM, which would make things awfully tight. Sorry! -usman
