: Now I changed the address of ed0 to the new address, and aliased the old:

: ifconfig ed0 addr.in.new.addrspace netmask 0xfffffff0
: ifconfig ed0 addr.in.old.addrspace netmask 0xfffffff0

: Any suggestions to resolve this cleanly ?

I havn't got a "real" connection, so I havn't mucked around with RIP much,
but if you're running routed, you may wish to switch to gated. It's
supposed to be much better at *not* gratuitously removing routes.

BTW, I take it that it's just the above example that's missing the "alias"
keyword.
