Hello,

Does anyone know how to write more than 93 MB data to a QIC tape
cartridge?. Length of the tape is 620 feet and the label says it can
take 150 MB.

I know that /dev/rwt0b is for 60 MB, rwt0c 120 MB and rwt0d 150 MB,
but using any of these devices results in 93 MB.
I also made rwt0e and rwt0f, which are for 300 and 600 MB, respectively,
but the result is unchanged. Also /dev/rwt0 (default density) gives 93 MB.

I set debugging on in the source wt.c, compiled the kernel and found out
that it really sends the right density-commands to the drive
(for example 0x29 means 150 MB, from wtregs.h). But It does not check
if the drive accepted the command (I don't know if it even CAN be checked).
The function always returns 1 after sending a command to the drive.

So, if anyone knows the solution, pointers to Wangtek tech documents,
etc. please let me know!

The drive model is Wangtek 5150EQ ROM revision F74 (or was it F47)
and I think the controller card is PC-02 (8 bit ISA).
