in general: IDE CDROM support is a bit rough around the edges
(to put it politely) for FreeBSD. There's a strong move to fix this
right now. The fact that IDE CDROMs come in very different (read: buggy)
incarnations and in addition the fact that most FreeBSDers stay away
from IDE CDroms like the plague only complicates things.
