I could be wrong bit I'm having the same problems with WC 2.1.5 after
reviwing postings in this and anothe newsgroup from others with the same
problem & digging around in a few docs 'n' stuff I thing the CD rom
needs to be set to SLAVE not MASTER. I presume to do this it needs to be
on the same line as a MASTER IDE HD (As not too many folks have 2 CDROMS
). Anyone want know if this is wrong? I would realy like to know.

BTW
In my setup I have 2 HD's on one IDE port of the I/O card and the CD (a
Sony 4x)on the second. If I'm correct and have to move the CD whats the
best way to set these up? At the moment my guess is to put 1 HD on each
IDE port, make them both masters and put the CD on the line which has
the drive FreeBSD will be installed on. So the final config should be

IDE Port 1 - c:\ 850M HD DOS Only
IDE Port 2 - d:\ 50M DOS partition & 151M FreeBSD
           - e:\ CD ROM

Am I barking up the right tree. (PS I am a complete UNIX/FreeBSD newbie
I'm from a manframe background {ICL at That!}) So please all help very
much appreciated and needed.
Thanks
Glenn

"Hurrar !" Exclaimed Pooh as he finaly got FreeBSD to install from CDROM
