I couldn't find this in the FAQ, so if someone could help me, I'd be
grateful: I'd like to increase the resolution of my textmode (virtual)
console(s). When logged in, I can do this with something like
"vidcontrol VGA_80x60". However, I have to do this manually on each
virtual console. I want it do be done automatically ("globally"), and
preferrably as early in the boot-process as possible. In linux this is
done by the boot-loader, which is nice because you don't lose the
kernel messages etc. With FreeBSD however, after I installed it I
haven't been able to figure out how to install or change parameters to
the boot-loader -- heck, I don't even know what it's called. I guess
either things work quite differently than in linux, or documentation
is lacking in this area (in which case a properly placed notice for
linuxheads would be nice).

So I guess I have two questions: How do I work the bootloader (naming
proper manpages would suffice) and how (if possible) do I change the
default VGA textmode?

Thanks,
