I have a NexGen x586 with a 1.6GB EIDE drive and a 1GB SCSI on an
ADAPTEC 154X adapter. I have Win95 and OS/2 Warp 4 on the 1.6GB drive
and want to put FreeBSD 2.1.5 on the SCSI drive. OS/2 can see both
drives, Win95 is giving me fits, sometimes it can...sometimes it can't.
My problem is getting FreeBSD to see the SCSI drive. Is what I am trying
to do not proper? I also am using the OS/2 Boot Manager to get back and
forth between the Win95 and OS/2. My thought was to just make another
entry and put FreeBSD as one of the options and run it off the SCSI
disk. I guess the 2nd question, perhaps it should be the first, is does
the install have to be on the 1st drive? I have the bios turned off on
the Adaptec board currently. Would it make a difference if I turned the
bios on? Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for
your time and expertise.
