I am having a problem with netscape on our FreeBSD machines.

Currently, we use Sun Sparcstations running Solaris for our file
servers. The us
ers are all running FreeBSD and automounting their home directories from
the Sun
's.

A problem is encountered with Netscape. The users can receive their mail
just fi
ne. However, when they try send send mail, the get an NFS file locking
error.

Right now all of the user are popping remote shells from the Sun's and
running N
etscape. This technique although it works, wastes valuable bandwidth and
slows t
he overall performance of Netscape.

Has anyone seen or resolved this problem?
