So far, (after reading the posts in response to you), I am left with only
one thing I find to be "better" about FreeBSD than linux:
 Stability...

I'm currently running linux on my machine now and it's done very well... But
I'm looking towards a major upgrade here and I"m a bit torn between new LInux
or FreeBSD... I'm leaning more and more towards BSD for the simple fact that
with linux, there is a new release of some major part of the system on an
almost daily basis...

In other words, if you want a system that's tried and tested and proven
to work with some degree of stability, FreeBSD is the way to go (I'm even
leaning towards BSD more and more as I type this :).

If you like to take risks and be on the cutting (bleeding?) edge of
technology, then use Linux...

Overall, the BEST thing to do (wish I had the MONEY to do this) is to
run both... one on this computer, the other on that computer...
