I just couldn't resist, one Burgess to another!!

I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but I don't think you would have those
problems with the Caldera Network Desktop. Hardware detection is
superior with Caldera. Most all NE2000 cards and even some DEC based
PCI cards. I am a Caldera Channel
Partner, and I'll ship you a copy of the Caldera CND, if you provide me
with a proof of purchase of your Distribution - yes a "competitve
upgrade" - for $45.00 (plus shipping and handling). The network card and
setup is almost always automatic. If not menus drive it in the install,
and the install stops and gives you a chance to add it at install for
the boot and boot disk. The secret to the Xfree86 setup is the
frequency settings for the monitor, and the video card combo.  This;
however, is selected from menus in the Caldera Xsetup program, unlike
many other distributions. Also this the XInside Accelerated Server, a
commercial product. It works. Of course you get a WEB server, and
Netscape with the simpliest setup program possible. Fill in the blanks
right and Caldera works. Guaranteed.

Caldera has WABI now, and you can run real Windows 3.x apps. Sold
seperately. The network desktop is ready to go, not like you'll find
with some Linux'es which give you a terminal window. Visit our WEBsite
at http://www.amer-grp.com/wabi.html for more info. Call or E-mail us
if you want to get going for sure.

UNIX-like OS'es need to be easier for sure, especially the setup.
