The VoxWare driver has been a default part of the FreeBSD distribution
for yonks now - you should be able to use RealAudio without doing
anything more than configuring your sound card (see /sys/i386/conf/LINT
for prototype information).

Also, OSS/Lite is slated to come into FreeBSD at some point in the near
future, though I'm not sure when Hannu will have it ready.  This is
something I'd like to see all the PC based UNIXen (and a few of the
non-PC based ones) standardize on since I don't know of anyone else even
attempting to formulate a common API for UNIX audio.
