Hello,

I've just released Clobberd 2.4. Unfortunately for FreeBSD users,
Clobberd has been developed for Linux, but i've tried to make it BSD
geared as possible, so you shouldn't have too much trouble porting it.

For those who haven't used Clobberd 1.1, Clobberd allows ISP's or any
Linux/Unix operator to regulate their users.

You can set it up so that it will kick off your users after a X amount of
time online is used. This can be daily or in total. It will monitor their
CPU and memory, so abusers will be killed off, and users can "telnet" to
it, and find out the time they have left.

It's very flexable, and has been thoughly tested on Linux kernels 2.0.0 and
1.2.13. (thanks to beta testers, Mark Keogh & Phil Ross).

I've uploaded the archive into the incoming directories of ftp.funet.fi,
sunsite.unc.edu & tsx-11.mit.edu. it's unavailable in these incoming
directories with the exemption of sunsite. so grab it off:

ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/linux/Incoming

I've also emailed it to the root of nutmeg.ntu.edu.au. Hopefully, it will
be available from there within the next 24 hours.

For the mean time (and if you are having difficulty pulling it off
sunsite), you can go to my home page.

just read and follow where to go.

Have fun. It's a bit different from V1.1, but more easyer to use.

See ya
