Hey all,

I am currently running a Linux server for mail, with the in.pop3d 1.004
here, and I am seriously considering switching over to FreeBSD and I
would like to know what would be the best pop server to use. We have
about 700 clients here, could easily go up to 1000 or more. I have 2
questions:

1. What is the best pop server to use?

2. More than a few have user names longer than 8 characters, I have read
where you can recompile the kernel to allow for user names greater in
length than 8, does anyone know of any specific problems this will cause
me with other programs?

TIA
Later
Kelley
