I just installed the 2.1.5 CD-ROM from Walnut Creek. I was pretty pleased
with it, EXCEPT: libgcc260.so.0 seems to be missing. This means I can't
run Emacs (or whatever uses it).

I tried to build libgcc from the gnu src collection, BUT it builds a
static library (libgcc.a, etc). I did not see an option in the libgcc
Makefile to create a shared library (.so).

Any suggestions?

ps - I _wiped_ my 2.1.0-RELEASE system _before_ installing 2.1.5. IF I
re-install 2.1.0 and use the upgrade program, MIGHT I be able to preserve
some of these libraries?
