This is not a vfat error, it's because your partition is bigger than
1022Mb.  I'd advise *NOT* mounting anything bigger than 1022Mb as it
is likely to not only shit all over your DOS disk, but to shit all
over places such as your root partition !

I believe there's some replacement code in the pipeline :)
