You could try putting a "set openmode active" in ppp.conf.  What does
your routing table look like (netstat -rn)

You'd be better off asking hackers@freebsd.org.  I don't think it's
fair to send unsolicited mail to people.

Works ok for me.  The original poster was saying that he couldn't
ping the other side of the ppp link.
