Before you do that, RADIUS 2.0 was released yesterday.  Right now only the
binaries for supported platforms are available (FreeBSD isn't one, but BSDI
is and the binaries should work).  The source will be available to
registered Livingston customers on CD-ROM in November (they're being pressed)
and I'm working on a system to allow Livingston customers to dl the source
tarball on the web.

You might want to go to 2.0 now instead of messing with 1.16.
