Just solved my own problem, seem that I forgotten to add the + entry into 
the passwd file, also installing the non-us des distribution solve the 
problem of changing passwd from a NIS client...

Now just need to get the linux emulator to work...beside editing the 
config file adding in the options COMPAT_LINUX & options LINUX and 
recompiling the kernel, must I do anything else to get the linux emulator 
to work?? My recompiled kernel from the 2.1.5-RELEASE doesn't seem to 
work. Anyone got a clue??
