Hi all,

I 'm using FreeBSD 2.5.1. I 'm a beginner on that and try to set up a
PPP dialup server. I want
to use Kernel ppp so I did recompile the kernel so that it compatible
with pppd.

Q1. I followed the instruction on Docs on how to "Works as a PPP
server". But it seems
doesn't work when I start the script pppserv. it popup an message
say something like
timeout LCP config-request ... what does it mean ? After that, I
tried to use another
machine to connect to it .. I could hear the modem connecting sound
but when I try to
ftp to that PPP server it seems unknown host. (I did set the ftp
anonymous site)

Q2. How can I setup the PPP server so that it will prompt the user to
key-in the
    User ID and password ?

Thank you very much.

Wing.

ps. Please forgive my bad english.
