cu -l /dev/cuaa0 -s 19200

You must be a member of group `dialer' in order to do this. This will
simply drop you directly to the modem, so you gotta dial with AT
commands directly. However, it's the only way that doesn't require
touching any configuration file beforehand.

If you wanna break out to start slattach locally, use ``~^Z'', where
the tilde must come right after a newline, and ^Z is Control-Z. This
will just suspend the cu process without closing the modem (which
would cause it to hangup).
