I have successfully run Netscape on my ISP's CPU via telnet, and had it
display flawlessly on my home monitor via my ppp link.  It was horribly
slow.  It took a full minute or more before the frame of the
web browser was displayed, and even longer before it was colored in.
Perhaps you just need to wait longer.
