Actually, I know what rarp is used for.  The main purpose is to allow
diskless workstations to obtain their IP address....

Never assume... :)  I do run my own DNS and for multiple registered
names as well as a few virtual hosts.  I should have made my post a
little clearer but I was in an extreme hurry....  I ended up mixing two
of my problems into one big mess.

In any case, I fixed the problem with rarpd anyhow.  I appreciate your
comments nonetheless.  I am working to get the names propogated....
