Or in FreeBSD-current, it's even ``RTFM spl(9)''. ;-)  I finally got
around to commit a man page for the spl functions.

Besides, the nature of the interrupt priority `levels' is explained
in any Unix kernel book.  This is recommended reading for anybody
who tries to hack kernels.
