Unless you're running Dnews on NT.  You don't need much RAM but a Quad
Pentium Pro is a must for a big system!

For running INN or CNews on FreeBSD, use 96MB-128MB RAM, dual Scsi-Wides
(Mylex or better), and 4 9GB Barracudas with the ccd drivers for a RAID 0
disk array.  Risky if you crash, (lose the whole spool) but super-super
fast.

The problem is: That's a $15K system!  Hardly worth it to propagate SPAM
and porno.
