I can attest to that. When I got my 3/60 the first thing I did was clean
out the pizza box power supply + fan and the SCSI tower fans. SUN has
some funny ideas, in the tower they even put screening on the inside of
the fans. While I was inside the pizza box I also replaced the el-cheapo
fan with a good Pabst unit.
