You need an entry in /etc/disktab that you can "disklabel -r -w /dev/.... ..".
Then, the lines in /etc/rc would be something like:

    disklabel -r -w sd0 Desc
    swapon /dev/rsd0b

where Desc is your /etc/disktab description.  You should probable use
the correct slice rather than the first slice as in the above example.

Disktab entries are fairly easy to write by just running "disklabel sd0"
(or whatever) and massaging the output.
