A few days ago, I posted with questions about a problem with sio.  I
have another goofy thing to add to it..  I noticed that after the device
cuaa2 craps out, the sd/rd led's on the modem are flashing in sequence 
about once every second.  Powering down and back up does not stop it.
What is talking to the modem at that rate?
