I am pretty sure that I have now successfully connected to my ISP
using PPP, including a full Chat login script.
However, once the connection is established, I have a great deal of
trouble getting the ftp 'open' command (in another window/session) to
properly connect to any address. I have tried both y.y.y.y forms and
domain name forms of addresses, both seem to not get resolved. I
unfortunately don't seem to have a 'ping' executable in my currently
downloaded configuration of FreeBSD, which may help me resolve some
net issues (that is one of the reasons I want to get PPP and ftp
working...so that I can download additional goodies for fbsd).

I have added my ISP's proper NameServer IP address in the
/etc/resolv.conf file, in fact, my resolv.conf file looks something
pretty much like this:

domain	blah.net
nameserver	w.x.y.z

I suspect that my PPP connection is not finding the ISP name server.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated, since I am quite new to
this.
Thanks in advance,
-- Greg
