I am trying to install FreeBSD on a 386sx (yep, i know, its stupid). I
just installed a new hard drive and bought an ide controller card that
also had a floppy controller, two com ports, a game port, and the parallel
port on it.

I'm trying to install off of floppies, and I used unix to write the
boot4.flp image onto a disk. When I boot the disk, I get the boot:
prompt, and I tried typing a '-c' to avoid the error reported by the
install, but after uncompressing the kernel, it stops the install right
away, reports 'panic: EISA I/O error
automatic system reset in 15 seconds.
hit key on console to abort.'

So I never even get to the config> prompt.

any ideas?
