I'm thinking about installing MacBSD on my old Mac IIx. I guess having
a separate drive for the swap partition would be a very good idea for
performance reasons. Luckily, I have an old rusty 80meg internal I
hope I could be able to use as a second internal in addition to my
main internal hard disk. Is this possible?
There is lots of free space in a Mac IIx case, although tips on how
to mount a second drive would be most welcome.
I expect I need to change the SCSI ID of one of the drives, and buy
some funny cable to be able to hook up them both. What kind of cable?
Am I likely to need to change e.g. internal termination on one of the
drives as well? Does it matter in which order they're connected?
Or is all this just wishful thinking, like nothing of the sort is
possible?
Both drives are standard "Apple" Quantum ones. I expect I'll be able
to find necessary technical docs (which jumpers to change etc.) on
Quantum's www site once I check what model drives I have; their site
looks fairly well-stocked.

(For the record, that's http://www.quantum.com/support/menus/diskjmpr.htm).

Thanks in advance for any advice,
