I believe that there is some information missing from the book and possibly
the online documentation.  In chapter #4: Installing FreeBSD on pages 58-59
it talks about moving /var and /tmp to the /usr partition.  The problem is
that depending upon the value of umask regular users may not have access to
these directories.  I came across the problem when using Mosaic.
