Apologies if I've missed the answer to the following question, but:

Can a Panasonic PD Rewritable CDROM be used with FreeBSD (and/or Linux
- if anyone knows) for both writing CDROMs (for backup say) and for
loading FreeBSD ?

I believe the latter can be done since it is simple a SCSI CDROM as
fae as FreeBSD is concerned

It is the backup use I am particularly internested it. Use of this
media, rather than DAT tape saves me a vital bay in my already crowded
system.

Thanks
Stuart
