I'm pretty sure that this worked before I configured and tested user
mode PPP.  What should I look for in order to get this working again?
I took a peek into /etc/sysconfig to see if anything got changed, but
everything referring to localhost or lo0 is unchanged.  Pinging the
other machine in my network works fine, as does pinging the local
machine by actual name in /etc/hosts (yes, localhost it in /etc/hosts).
