Are they on your local net ?  If not where are they ?  What does your
routing table look like (netstat -rn) ?

The errors are because your machine didn't get an ARP reply - do you have
a situation where you have a router between your machine & these sites,
but have your routing table saying "default myaddr" where myaddr is your
own address (rather than the router) ?
