Unlikely.  Either you've got another IO controller on it (not the
broken UMC part), or you've never tried using your UART for UUCP.
It's possible that you haven't noticed yet the incompatible floppy
controller since the workaround is already in -current, though i've
heard from the previous owner of an UMC8669F-equipped board that he
still had troubles even with the workaround.
