I am trying to install release 2.1.5 on an older system (IBM value Point 325T)
and having no success. This system is now equipped with a Western Digital
AC21000 - EIDE 1 GB hard Drive with OnTrack's Disk Manager program, 8 MB RAM,
and a TEXEL 3024 2x SCSI CDROM drive attached to a Future Domain TMC 850/950
controller.

My problems are two fold. How can I get the FreeBSD system to recognize the
CDROM drive so that I can install directly from it and how to partition the
disk so that FreeBSD will be able to successfully make and use its / and swap
areas.

I have partitioned the drive many different ways without success. In
particular I have created a very small DOS partition followed by a 420MB
partition for / and a 32MB partition for the SWAP area.

Any help would be appreciated.....

Thanks.
