Hi All,

In my part of the world ( Ottawa, Canada ) memory prices are *very*
low: 16MB/EDO/60ns/72pin are selling new for as low as $ 130.00 (Can).
Last year I would have been lucky to find a non-EDO 16MB SIMM for under
$700 (Can).

So does anyone know:

* why prices are as low as they are.
* when, if ever, they will go up.

Sales people I talk to say that memory prices are going up in September
but its their job to say that.

I'm sure that there's an interesting story here...

If you wish, reply directly to me ( atrens@bnr.ca or atrens@nortel.ca ),
but I imagine a lot of other folks out there have the same question.

Cheers,

Andrew.
