I'll bet my traditional 6 cookies and a doughnut that your problem is
the PnP feature. The concept of PnP is that the OS sorts out where it
wantas to assign things. However, FreeBSD doesn't do that; it wants to
be told exactly where your peripherals are addressed. You'll need to
disable PnP on that card. If you can preset the card to the port and IRQ
your other OS likes to use it at, it should still work OK.
