Hi All,

I *had* some grief trying to install my new HITACHI CDR-7730 IDE CDROM,
so I tossed the unit in favour of a NEC CDROM. Plugged in the NEC,
powered up my system and everything works flawlessly. Either the
HITACHI drive was defective, or else not compatible. Oh well, not my
problem anymore...

Sorry to have needlessly bothered you folks!

Cheers,

Andrew
