I recently started getting an Out of Memory error when rebuilding my
sendmail aliaseses file. The file has 34000 entries and was working fine
untill yesterday. Now it processes about 29K then dies with the error.

I ran vmstat while it was rebuilding and saw avail memory drop to about 300,
and swap space to about 60% available. Should of have had plenty of swap to finish.

I was running a MFS mounted /tmp, but removed that. No help there.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  System Info:
  BSDI 2.1 Generic
16Mb real and 48 Mb swap memory
  /tmp as ln -s /usr/tmp (600 MB available on /usr partition)
  sendmail 8.7.5

  Regards,

   Mike Spinn.
