I am trying to install FreeBSD 2.1.5 on a system with an IDE CD-ROM. My
problem is that the CD-ROM is not found by the install boot disk.

The hard disk is on the first IDE controller and the install boot disk find it.

The CD-ROM is on the second IDE controller which the install boot disk
finds. However, when I go to options to select the source media as the
CD-ROM, I am told that no CD-ROMS were found.

It doesn't make any difference if the CD-ROM is jumpered for master or
slave. However, with it jumpered for slave, the bios startup detects the
CD-ROM and says that it is on the "secondary as master".

I am most confused and any help will be greatly appreciated.

Butch
