news articles.  I have already answered it in email.)

Basically, EISA_SLOTS in /sys/i386/eisa/eisaconf.h is too small for
the HP Netserver.  The on-board controller is at slot 10 or 11.

So if you can install using another controller, it should be possible
to patch the kernel.
